What this covers
A NICOP is the card that proves you are a Pakistani citizen while you live abroad, and a first application is where most people begin: a Pakistani who has recently moved to the UK, a child born here to Pakistani parents, or anyone who has simply never held one before. It is a biometric document, so your fingerprints and photo are part of the record, and it is worth getting right the first time because your Pakistani passport is later built on the details it carries. For a first NICOP we typically need proof of your Pakistani origin (your own or a parent's), a valid passport, and photographs, and we confirm exactly which documents your case needs before anything is submitted. We verify everything, then file the application with NADRA for you. The card is valid for 10 years and is what lets you buy property, open bank accounts, and travel to Pakistan without a separate visa. It comes back to your UK address.
